Hard to believe that festival season is upon us already here again in the UK. I spent yesterday in Leeds shooting Live At Leeds, I have covered this event for a number of years now & always forget just how much hard work it is. Utilizing nearly every gig venue in Leeds and a  few pubs to boot to, very careful planning of your day is needed, although one late show can throw all your planning to pieces pretty quickly.

I was particularly looking forward to shooting Marina & The Diamonds again, whom I haven’t shot since Leeds 2010, however Marina had to pull out due to being ill, my other main artist Stooshe also pulled out. So chatting to a couple of local music photographers I quickly rescheduled.

Most of the days shooting was at the O2 Academy, however my highlight of the day was Brooklyn’s Friends, with their 80s sassy funky fused sounds fronted by Samantha Urbani who decided to go for a walk around the well filled Stylus venue.

Special note to for Ladyhawke, good to have her back on the scene & was also good to see Nikki & The Dove, has it really been nearly a year since Dot to Dot?? Ah thats next month…
