Athlete at the tiny Hull Adelphi to U2 on the Joshua Tree tour at Wembley Stadium, from the small Dot to Dot festival to the mother of all festivals, Glastonbury, Gary with his camera has been there capturing the moment. Specializing in low light live music photography Gary captures more of the abience & atmosphere that makes the live music experience so special.
Bio
2007 studied photography at East Coast Media, Grimsby. During this time starts to write reviews & photograph for egigs.co.uk, acts including Simple Minds, Billy Idol, Freindly Fires & The Pigeon Detectives.
2008 he photographed his first published festival, the Dot to Dot Festival at Nottingham for efestivals.co.uk since then has also photographed the Glastonbury Festival, Bingley Music Live & The Big Reunion Weekend, images from this event will feature on the new official website.
Teams up with talented live music reviewer Lee Tyrrell to bring combined live reviews with photos for assignment & commissions.
2009 Gary has been a contributing photographer for Clash Music mag’s live section. Photographing The Prodigy at Sheffield Arena & will be covering Glastonbury, The Virgin Media Festival Staffs (V) & Leeds Festival for efestivals.co.uk.
2010 Joins W*E*N*N as an entertainments photographer, first assignment Peter Doherty at Ibiza Rocks, published on Bizarre page The Sun. Starts to regularly shoot arena shows. For efestivals.co.uk shoots Glastonbury, V Festival, Leeds Festival, Latitude & Ibiza Hard Rock Hell.
2011 Joins Corbis Images as an entertainment photographer. Continues shooting large arena shows including Justin Bieber, JLS, Simply Red (on stage), Elbow, The Script & Liam Gallagher’s Beady Eye. AAA pass for the NME Tour including Crystal Castles, Everything Everything, Magnetic Man & The vaccines.
